Inaugural Student Affairs Marketing Portfolio Exhibit

On Friday, May 13, Student Affairs Marketing (SAM) held their inaugural End-Of-Year Exhibit in the Segal Visitors Center. This exhibit was created to showcase the work of SAM’s student employees. These students work as graphic designers, copywriters, social media coordinators, videographers, and photographers year-long to promote and capture the many events and programs Northwestern Student Affairs departments hold throughout the school year. Marketing requests are submitted to the SAM office and subsequently assigned to students who strategize, create, and promote all of the marketing Student Affairs uses throughout the school year.  

James McHaley, Director of Student Affairs Marketing, opened the event by thanking of all the student employees and recognizing the graduating seniors of SAM for their efforts over the years. Dr. Patricia Telles-Irvin then spoke and thanked the students and staff of SAM for their hard work, commenting on how many great Student Affairs programs would go unseen without the designs and promotions of these employees. The audience then watched videos created by the SAM videographers in the visitor center’s theatre after these remarks.

Students’ designs, stories, and photographs were featured on easels throughout the visitors center. Students were available throughout the night to discuss their projects and designs with guests.
