The month of April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the Center for Awareness, Response & Education (CARE) is collaborating with a number of campus partners to put on multiple events and programs on the Northwestern Campus. Trainings, film screenings, art projects, and the Take Back the Night speak-out are all programs designed to spread awareness of sexual assault and support for its survivors.
CARE seeks to promote April as the month where people can work collaboratively towards ending sexual assault. In addition to their events schedule for this month, CARE is working throughout campus to engage students in this important topic. From holding focus groups on perceptions of the campus climate around sexual violence, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, to holding events that support survivors of sexual violence, CARE has many ways for students to learn more about sexual assault, and to discover ways they can help combat it.
